The speed with which Osama bin Laden was buried at sea and skepticism by the U.S. government claims they have lied so much to justify its wars, feed the conspiracy theories about his disappearance. Senior U.S. officials insisted the fate of the body quickly kept a complete line with Islamic practices. Mohammedan faith leaders noted, however, that the tradition had been raped in a humiliating manner, into the sea only to those who died in a ship, and should not be buried with the head facing Mecca.
